- Nina has to go to the doctor a lot because she has neurofibromatosis type 1, or NF1 for short.
- Nina is very independent, but she also wants her Mom to carry her everywhere.
- She loves to play games, especially with her big brother, Bur Bur.
- Nina copies Bur Bur and tries to do everything he does.
- Sometimes Nina is shy around other people — but not for long!
- She loves to say "bye-bye" and blow kisses.
